Introduction

The CNXML document ontology was formalized by Normen Müller and Christine Müller. It is based on the current CNX language specification.

Workplan

1. Retrieving all relevant information of the current CNX language specification (specified in XML Schema and Relax NG respectively) and modeling an UML class diagram, with relevant we denote grammatical relations within the CNXML syntax specification
2. Enriching the UML class diagram by explicating implicit information via so-called ontological relations
3. DL modeling of the document ontology: Translation of UML class diagrams to OWL-DL rsp. Protégé
